1. Answer any one of the following questions
(a) Write a note on Computer language and its Classification. (See Lesson 1)

Ans: Language communication is a means of just as ordinary people communicate with each other using language, in the same way, communication with the computer is done through language. This language can be understood by both the machine or the user. Computer language is called syntax.

COMPUTER LANGUAGE IS CLASSIFIED AS:

2. Answer any one of the following questions.
(a) Write any two uses of ruler in Word Program. (See Lesson 3)

Ans:
(i) Coolers display horizontal and vertical scales, which represent the width and height of your typing area. Horizontal scale plays an important role when you want to quickly tab, margin, and indent.
(ii) Select the front tab on the screen of MS World 2007 to select/deselect Ruler/Gridlines and other options.

3. Answer any one of the following questions.
(b) Write any two uses of ruler in Word Program. (See Lesson 4)

Ans:
(i) A whole word - Double click on the word
(ii) Whole paragraph - Click on the paragraph three times
(iii) Cutting text - Ctrl + X
(iv) Printing the document - Ctrl + P

4. Answer any one of the following questions.
(b) Explain briefly any five components of a chart. (See Lesson 8)

Ans: The five different components of a chart are as follow :
(i) Title of the chart - The title which is given to the entire chart.
(ii) X-axis heading - The heading which is given to the x-axis data range.
(iii) Y-axis heading -Title which represents the data range of the Y-axis is given.
(iv) X-axis category - That is the category of the data which is plotted. These are taken from the first column or first row of your data range.

5. Answer any one of the following questions.
(a) How do you insert a picture bullets in slides. (See Lesson 9)

Ans: The picture in the next slide is shown as a dot the way to enter is as follows:
(1) Open a new or an existing presentation and go to the slide and select the text where bullets need to be added.

(2) Go to the Home tab on the ribbon and click on the arrow adjacent to ‘bullets’ button.

(3) There is a drop-down showing ‘bullets and numbering’ option. This will open another dialog box. On the right-hand button corner, there is a ‘Picture’ button.

(4) On clicking the ‘Picture’ button, the user is given three options from where a picture can be selected: online pictures, from a file, and icons.

(5) Choose an option and select the relevant picture.
Once, back on the slide, the bullet style would have changed as per our selection.

Prepare any one project out of the following projects given below.
(b) Create a PowerPoint presentation on “Operating Systems”. It must include the following
(one slide each):

(i) What is operating system? Add the image for the same. 2
